• In UK, the Law degree is normally 3 years (with Honours)

• In Australia & New Zealand, the duration for undergraduate degree for law is 4 years. 
• Some Australia Unis Law Degree is a Double Degree which typically take 5 years
• Student can also take the Juris Doctor Route in Australia after a Bachelor degree which is typically 3 years

Note: Typically, students prefer to pursue their law degree in UK as the duration is shorter than Australia & NZ

Step 1: Hold an Approved Law Degree

Graduate from an approved university with at least a 2nd Class Lower (2:2) Honours degree in Law.

Step 2: Pass Part A of the Singapore Bar Examinations

This is a conversion exam required for graduates from approved foreign universities who wish to practise law in Singapore.

Step 3: Complete the Part B Course

Enrol in and successfully complete the Preparatory Course for Part B of the Singapore Bar Examinations, conducted by the Singapore Institute of Legal Education. This course is mandatory for those seeking admission as Advocates and Solicitors of the Supreme Court of Singapore.

Step 4: Undertake 18 Months of Legal Training or Work

Gain relevant practical legal experience through the training period.

Students undertaking a Law degree in the UK (and wish to apply for admission in Singapore Bar) must ensure that the Law degree is pursued at one of these 11 'revised scheduled' Universities. They are

Didn’t meet the entry requirements or looking to fast-track to a Top UK or Australian University for Law?

The University Foundation program is specially tailored to prepare int'l students for Bachelor's Degree in University. A Foundation program is a 1 to 3-term course ( 4 - 12 months ) that delivers intensive relevant subjects for the nominated progression degree.

For students from Singapore, you can use your secondary 4 Prelim Results / O levels Results / A Levels Results / JC 1 / 2 Results to apply so that you can join the Foundation Program in Feb/Mar 26 and progress to Uni on Sep 26 ( UK ) or Feb 27 ( Australia) or do a full UK foundation in Nov25, Jan 26  for UK Uni admission in Sep 26
